Bali: Tegenungan Waterfall

To be frank, our initial plan didn't include here. Hubby booked a ride from our Villa to Monkey Forest. While chatting with the driver, he made a few suggestions and asked us whether we would like to hire him for 10 hours for IDR500k (SGD50).

As our first trip from villa to Monkey Forest already cost IDR112k (SGD11.20), we consider and thinks that hiring the driver at SGD50 for 10 hours will be more worthwhile.

I'm glad we made the decision of hiring the driver for whole day! The reason being, ended up most of the area we went had very bad signal and we have problem to use the WiFi though we have a router with us. Imagine you travelled to the forest and strained there because you are unable to connect to the internet to call for Uber/Grab.

The driver initially suggested us to go to Bali Bird Park as it is family friendly and will have activities for C&C. We passed by the road to Waterfall on the way. By the time we reached the Bird Park, we saw a lot of familes, tour bus with school children there! Ended up we got turned off by the huge crowd and hubby told the driver to drive to the waterfall instead.

Really glad that we came! The view was beautiful! Too bad we didn't bring our swimwear with us. A lot of tourists were playing at the river and we wore sportshoes as we planned to do some hiking hence we didn't manage to have a dip in the river. Nevertheless, though we didn't manage to play in the water, we had lots of fun and fresh air there.

By the way, I can't get any wifi signal over there and lucky our driver always wait at us at the rest stop for drivers and he always keep a lookout for us though we couldn't contact him due to no signal.

We were at the restaurant at the entrance area (need to pay to go to the waterfall but the entrance tickets were not expensive)

Having some "snacks break" before we walk towards the waterfall. It's quite a long walk and the weather was super sunny! It's good for a dip in the water though. Too bad we didn't bring extra clothes.

Entrance tickets. 1 Adult for IDR15k (SGD1.50). 1 Children for IDR10k (SGD1). We spend total SGD5 for the tickets.

I refused to buy ice-cream for Cherie and hence she showed this face while we take picture. The ice cream cost SGD3.50 for 1 small cup! We must as well eat it in Singapore...

Found a swing at a small cliff on our way to the waterfall

Its kinda scary to be frank... As it just a swing tying around 2 wooden poles... I'm afraid it can't take my weight... Opps!

I heard stacking up stones as high as you can makes your wishes come true. Think a lot people heard the same myth too?

Hope their wishes come true~ :p

Daddy's introduction near the foot of the waterfall

In order to get to the foot of the waterfall, we will need to cross this bamboo bridge. The son was tired I was behind them taking photos. The girl was impatient so daddy had to do his job *lol*

You can actually walk up nearer to the waterfall but there's another station to pay for a small fee to get up. We didn't manage to walk further up.

Shower area which is open... literally open! Man or woman can use (except during menstruation) and we can see from the open entrance.

This is how the natural "shower" looks like
